Amuno is a community-based, youth-led organisation in Bukedea, Uganda. We work with children, young people and families to build the conditions in which rural children can thrive.
Born from lived experience, built around dignity.
Founder Anthony Okiria grew up knowing the difference community support can make in a child’s life. In May 2022, that conviction became Amuno Rural Hub: a locally rooted organisation designed to give rural children opportunities too often determined by geography.
We do not treat communities as recipients. Young people facilitate learning, families build economic resilience, and local leaders help create safe spaces. Amuno’s role is to equip, connect and strengthen what already exists.
